Berend sworn in as Archer County Attorney

Jordyn Berend was sworn as the new Archer County Attorney on Monday, Dec. 2, by 97th District Judge Trish Coleman Byars.

Berend takes office a month earlier than she expected after David Levy announced his intention to retire during a commissioner’s court meeting on Monday, Nov. 25.

Levy did not run for reelection and was set to leave office at the end of 2024. Berend defeated a host of challengers …
