Gary L. Rucker

Gary L. Rucker, age 80, of Hereford, Texas, formerly of Archer City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb.15, at the Archer City Cemetery with his son-in-law, Lyn Holly officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Gary was born Fe. 6, 1944 to the late Gordon Kenny Rucker and Hattie Pearl Nix Rucker in Wichita Falls.

He graduated from Archer City High School. Gary was a rancher for several years. He then became the owner and operator of Rucker’s Welding where he worked in the oilfield.

Gary married Mary Ann Kincaid and together they had two daughters, Lisa and Tammy. He then married Margie Ann Prda on February 15, 1969 at the O’Donohoe Ranch in Archer County, Texas. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2006.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Holly and husband, Lyn of Bonham and Tammy Kingcade and husband, Ricky of Pamp; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Mack Rucker on January 18, 1996.
