James Lynn Chambers, age 76, of Scotland, Texas passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, in a Fort Worth hospital.

Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland with Rev. Bhaskara Nanduri of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls officiating. Interment followed in St. Boniface Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 7: p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

James was born May 12, 1949 in Ryan, Okla. to the late Jesse James Chambers and Vera Mae Reynolds Chambers.

He and Ginger Peysen were married May 25, 1968 in Burkburnett.

James was a truck driver for Haliburton, Sysco and Air Gas. He also was a farmer and rancher. James loved showing cars, cows and horses and hunting.

He was a member of the Appaloosa Horse Club, American Quarter Horse Association and the Paint Horse Association.

James was a member of Central Baptist Church in Burkburnett. He then became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls and finally St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland.

Survivors include his wife, Ginger of Scotland; two sons, Scotty and Shawn Chambers of Scotland; two grandsons, Dylan Chambers and wife, Melissa of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Johnathan Chambers and Jaci of Seymour; four great-grandchildren, Liam, Lilliana, Layni and Ava on the way.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Larry Chambers and one sister, Sandra Chambers.
