Bobby Bitner was born June 15, 1959 in Archer City, at the old hospital to Jesse F. and Betty (Brown) Bitner. He graduated from Archer City High School in 1977 and then went on to Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Bobby came back to Archer City for a short while after college and then moved to Dallas with a friend. He worked in a flower shop and then at Volt before going to work at Restland, Laurel Land and Calvary Hill funeral homes in the marker department. Bobby then went to work for Southwest Airlines in Customer Service in San Marcus and San Antonio until the pandemic hit and he started working from home. Bobby was in the process of moving back home to Archer City prior to his death.

The memorial service was at 2 p.m., Monday, March 8, at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel. Private Graveside Services were held at the Archer City Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Archer City Cemetery, Archer City Volunteer Fire Department or the Human Society.

Bobby is preceded in death by his spouse, Stephen Fuentez, his father, Jesse F. Bitner Jr. and brother, Steve Bitner.

He is survived by his mother; Betty Bitner of Archer City, brother; Jesse Bitner of Huntsville, nephew; Brandon Bitner and wife Ashley and their children, Aidyn, Ledger, Harper and Lexi all of Olney, niece and nephew; Michael and Laken Hawkins and his two cats; Tootsie and Mort.
