Body

Carol “Mawmaw” Kyle was born on March 26, 1948, and passed away peacefully on Sept. 11, 2025, from a long battle of Alzheimer’s disease. She passed away at home where she had lived with her daughter Jaynie, son in law Dan Pruitt and her grandson, Nicholi McWilliams.

Mawmaw had a heart of gold and loved everyone she met. She never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off her back if it meant you didn’t have to go without. That’s just how she was, always trying to take care of others or help someone out. She was loved in abundance by everyone she met and was known infamously for her “blue hair”.

She was a military wife of nearly 30 years, married to LJ Fowler who passed away in February 2008, and spent several years living in New York working at the Twin Towers, returning back home to Archer City in 1986. We find it fitting she chose to go be with the Lord on 9/11. She lived most her adult years in Archer city and the last 4 years living at Lake Kickapoo where she often bragged to her friends and family about how much she loved the lake life.

She leaves behind one daughter, Jaynie McWilliams and her husband Daniel Pruitt, Two sons, Lonnie Fowler and Jay Fowler. Seven grandchildren, Nathan and Tai Day, Cari and Kevin Johnson, Devin and Becca Fowler, Chelsea and Hayden Beam, Tiffani Fowler, Autumn Hodge and Nicholi McWilliams.

Four great grandchildren, Mekah Day, Gypsi and Gemma Fowler and Noah Beam.

One sister, Sherrie Jenerowitz, and 4 brothers, Steve and Joe Allen, Bob Updegraff and Mark Smith as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Archer City cemetery. Please join us as we lay her ashes to rest in the Archer City Cemetery, with her parents Maye Williams and John Williams.

She chose to be cremated and put a flower garden in her memory, so we ask if you choose to send flowers you choose to send plants to add to her garden.

She will be truly missed and forever be Everyone’s “Mawmaw”.
