Delores “Dee” Jean Oliver passed away on Wednesday, Feb.14, 2024, in Wichita Falls. She was 87 years old. Delores was affectionately known by many as Granny Dee. Dee was born on July 3, 1936, in Graham. Her parents were Elmer and Anita Marley.

A visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19, at the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. Burial followed at Antelope Cemetery.

Dee married Charles Oliver on Nov. 3, 1956, in Wichita Falls. She was a hairdresser for many years and was instrumental in organizing the Mountain Home Quilting Club. Dee was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church where she played the piano for 42 years. But most importantly was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Dee is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oliver; son, Greg Oliver; and parents.

Among those who will cherish her memories include her children, Teresa Martin and husband Pat of Archer City, Laney Oliver of Wichita Falls, and daughter- in-law Sonja of Wichita Falls; grandchildren Kristi Walker (Adam), Patrick Martin (Alex), Micki Oliver, and Brett Oliver (Kenna); 7 great-grandchildren Kaylee and Mason Walker, Piper, Preston, and Parker Martin, Bransyn, and Creed Oliver; siblings, Gaye McAuley (David), Smitty Marley (Joan), Gloria Sims (Raymond) and Rodger Marley; and many other extended family members and friends.
