Elsie Wyvon Bitner Baughman, age 90, of Early, formerly of Archer City, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 at her residence. Services was held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Aulds Funeral Home with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church of Archer City, officiating. Interment followed in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City. Elsie Wyvon was born Jan. 14, 1932 in Littlefield, to the late Jesse Faye Bitner and Cleo Nevil Willingham Bitner.

She and Richard Frank Baughman were married Sept. 7, 1950 in Archer City, Texas. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2018. Elsie Wyvon was a homemaker throughout her life who enjoyed painting and quilting.

Survivors include daughter, Vicki Jean Davis and husband, Jeff of Early; nephew, Mike Baughman and wife, Terry of Llano; niece, Paula Baker and husband, Randy of Amarillo; sisters-in-law, Betty Bitner of Archer City and Ernestine Baughman of Hillsboro; four grandchildren Christa Jackson, Shane Rater, Shawn Rater and Toby Rater; fourteen great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerrel Wayne Rater; sisters, Ada Mae Geis and Joe Ann Baughman; brother, Jr. Bitner; brothers-inlaw, Mike J. Baughman and Barry Baughman.

The family suggests memorials to the Archer City Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 198, Archer City, Texas.
