Jason Paul “Jake” Schenk, age 60, of Archer City passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, in Wichita Falls.

Vigil service and rosary was held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, Pastor of St. Mary’s and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating. Interment followed in St. Boniface Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Jake was born Nov. 12, 1961 in Canyon, to Dillard Charles Schenk and Bertha Mae Vieth Schenk.

Jake graduated from Windthorst High School.

He and Patty Wolf were married Dec. 15, 1990 in Scotland,.

Jake was the owner and operator of Schenk Farms, Inc. and Schenk Oil Company. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Scotland Volunteer Fire Department, Knights of Columbus, Scotland St. Boniface Cemetery Committee and the Sons of the American Legion.

Jake loved his children, grandchildren and old farm equipment. Jake was a simple man who enjoyed feeding his cattle and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Schenk of Archer City; two daughters, Sam Schenk of Kamay and Cassey Schenk of Archer City; two sons, Brock Schenk and Gus Schenk, both of Archer City; his mother, Bertha Mae Schenk of Scotland; four sisters, Sharlotta Connally and husband, Richard of Joshua, Janella Schenk of Pampa, Monica Buerger and husband, Lonnie of Archer City and Kristina Stotts and husband, Robert of St. Jo; two grandchildren, Emory and Braxton Kincaid; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dillard Schenk on Nov. 4, 2001.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Berend, Lonnie Buerger, Scottie Buerger, Zac Garrett, Justin Jackson, Booger Meurrer, Ed Meurer, Brock Schenk, Gus Schenk and Roger Schenk.
