Marqueta Joyce Perkins began her heavenly journey with our Lord and Savior on 26 November 2024 at the age of 88.

Private graveside services were held under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home or Archer City.

Marqueta was born to the late HD and Dora Holder on February 11, 1936 in Olney, Texas Marqueta was employed at Holder’s Jewelers, Archer County News and the Archer County Hospital. She was also employed at the Archer City Pharmacy for twenty years until her retirement.

Marqueta was a member of Grace Community Church. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, knitting, sewing and bowling.

She is survived by her daughter Susie Kile Cardon and son-in-law Joe Cardon, four granddaughters and a grandson, one great granddaughter, and six great grandsons and a greatgreat granddaughter and great-great grandson; a brother, Laney Holder and wife, Karen; and a great number of loved ones.

Marqueta is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Perkins, her daughter Laqueta Kile Whitfield, three sisters, and a brother.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctor, nurses and staff of Texhoma Christain Care Center and Hospice of Wichita Falls for the love and care for Marqueta.
