Phyllis Frazier Bates Spencer, age 77, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Archer City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, in the Archer City Cemetery with Rev. Silvia Wang of First United Methodist Church of Archer City officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Phyllis was born Nov. 13, 1943 in Abilene, to the late John William Frazier and Opal Mae Hicks Frazier.

She and Madison Spencer were married Sept. 15, 2009 in Archer City. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2016.

Phyllis was employed by Target for twenty-two years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved fishing, camping, cooking, crafts and traveling.

Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by her son, David Bates and wife, Rene of Iowa Park; five grandchildren, Brady Bates, Bryce Bates and wife, Barbara, Breanna Bates, Laken Lawson and husband, Chase and Creed Wells; and four great-grandchildren, Blakley, Kinley, Levi, and Lynlea.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Paul Frazier; and two sisters, Charlotte Klenk and Jean Pratt; and two grandchildren, Heather Bates and Hunter Bates.
