Boys
Holliday (24-10) wrapped up its 2021-22 season in the regional quarterfinals with a loss to Brock. A projected No. 4 playoff seed before the season began, the Eagles exceeded expectations by knocking off Bowie to earn the No. 2 seed for the postseason. Once in the playoffs, Holliday earned wins over Early (60-39) and Wall (64-51) before exiting in the third round.
Jaxx Johnson shared Defensive Player of the Year honors for District 7-3A after serving as a lockdown guard for the Eagles. In 25 games, the junior averaged 2.4 points, 3.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals.
Nathan Williams and Austin Jones were each named first team all-district. Williams was the top scorer for the Eagles, averaging 13.5 points to go along with 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.7 steals. Jones averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals.
Hayden Strealy and Cason Foster were named second team all-district. Strealy poured in 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.5 steals while Foster shot 43% from 3-point range with 6.1 points and 2.8 rebounds. Cade Borchardt earned honorable mention honors.

Girls
Holliday (26-5) concluded its 2021-22 season in the area round, bowing out to Jim Ned. After picking up the program’s first postseason win in over two decades, Holliday made it back to the second round before bowing out to the Lady Indians. The Lady Eagles dominated Millsap (73-46) in bi-district after entering the postseason as the No. 2 seed.
Kenna Wood took home the District 7-3A Newcomer of the Year award after averaging 6.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Addison Lindemann earned the district’s Sixth Girl of the Year. Coming off the bench, Lindemann averaged 5.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.9 steals.
Carissa Grffin, Sarah Cowan, Campbell Jurecek and Katy Piper were named to the all-district first team. Piper was the Lady Eagles’ top-scorer averaging 16.0 points to go along with 7.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks. Cowan was second on the team with 9.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals. Jurecek ranked third with 9.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. Payton Murray took a spot on the second team all-district squad. She averaged 7.7 points, 4.5 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.4 steals in 31 games. Salem Henry earned honorable mention.
