Archer County Sheriff’s Weekly Report

Body The Sheriff’s Office received 113 Calls for Service during the past seven day period ending Sunday, Sept. 6. On the day of this report, there were 31 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 27 men and four women.

Holliday beats Archer City

Body Don’t let the 3-0 score fool you. Holliday needed every point in a sweep of Archer City on the road Tuesday, Sept. 1. The Lady Eagles held on for a 30-28, 25-19, 28-26 win over the Lady Cats to sweep both Archer City and Windthorst in the county rivalry.

Archer County COVID-19 update

Body Archer County Judge Randy Jackson announced the county had 60 positive cases with seven of them being active in a press release Tuesday, Sept. 8. The county also reported its first COVID-19 related fatality.
