A total of 28 shooters from Archer County competed in the 2022 District 3 4-H Trap Shoot that was held at the Iowa Park Gun Club in Iowa Park on Saturday, April 23. Along with the 28 shooters all of Archer County 4-H Trap Coaches attended to help with the event.

Greg Vieth’s time as the mayor of Windthorst is coming to an end this Saturday after he chose to not run for another term. Vieth was born and raised in Windthorst.
The youngest mayor in the history of Archer City will be leaving his position soon, after electing to not run for another term. Kelvin Green was born and raised in Archer City and was just 18 years old when he was elected as mayor in 2014.
The city of Holliday, Holliday Police Department and Archer County communities are mourning the loss of police chief Joe Chunn after he passed away on Wednesday, April 27. Chunn went to work for the Holliday Police Department in May of 1994.
