Body The Archer Public Library’s Summer Reading Program 2022 is here! The library kicked off its reading contest on June 1st and is accepting entries through July 31st, for a chance to win a Kindle E-Reader loaded with free eBooks! 1 hour read = 1 entry into the contest.

Body The 85th Maskat Shrine Oil Bowl Classic is chocked full of Archer County athletes with 23 recent graduates taking the field one final time. Holliday led the way with 10 selections while Archer City had eight and Windthorst five.

Body The Family of Katelyn Casillas would like to thank everyone for their support, prayers, phone calls, and messages during her emergency. She is doing well and we are expecting a full recovery. This is why we love living in a small town.

Body Elwanda Stone, 88 of Holliday, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 31. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 10, at the First Baptist Church in Holliday, with Pastor Darryl Sewell officiating.

Body Louellen Joy (Dougherty) Lechman, 88, of Wichita Falls, died peacefully on Monday, May 16, in the arms of the three loves of her life, her children. A celebration of life will be held June 11, at 11 a.m.
