The Holliday City Council adopted a resolution which prioritized its remaining American Rescue Plan Act funds during its council meeting on Monday, Nov. 14.

After a run through the Class 2A-Region I Tournament this past weekend in San Angelo, the Windthorst Trojanettes are once again going back to the UIL State Volleyball Tournament. Windthorst (39-8) makes its 23rd overall appearance, the second- most among all classifications, and can pass East Bernard (13) for most state championships with a pair of wins.

Among an assembly of Aggies, entrepreneurs Mark and Jo Beth Southard were recently honored for owning one of the fastest- growing Aggie-operated businesses. The couple proudly accepted their award and recognition during the Aggie 100 Awards Banquet Nov.

The Windthorst ISD school board gave the district the go ahead to proceed with a partnership with the YMCA of Wichita Falls for on-site after school care during its meeting on Monday, Nov. 14.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the creation of a blanket interlocal agreement with rates for municipalities who wish to have the county use its asphalt zipper on its roads during its meeting on Monday, Nov. 14 Pct. 2 Commissioner Darin Wolf said he was approached by the city of Windthorst to zip up a road for them and he felt there needed to be a uniform price and agreement set for all entities which wanted the county to zip its roads.
