On the morning of Feb. 23, 2023, Carlton Dale Deen went home to be with the Lord. A ceremony celebrating his life was held Feb. 27, at 10 a.m., at the Archer City Cemetery. Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church of Archer City, will officiate. Arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
Former Booked Up Manager Khristal Merklin announced she has retained the name and made the decision to open a fully online bookstore. Merklin was awarded the Booked Up buildings and contents by the estate of Larry McMurtry on Aug.
