New city council and school board members were seated across the county after 1,308 voters, or 14.09% of the counties registered voters, hit the polls through Election Day on May 6. Archer City ISD: Archer City ISD conducted a school board trustee election for two places on the board on May 6.

Holliday ISD Bond Proposition Passes

Holliday ISD is prepared to begin work immediately to expand its campuses and athletic facilities after their bond proposal passed on all three fronts on May 6. The $40 million bond included three propositions which all had to be passed separately for the proposed projects to be completed.

ACSO pursuit ends in deadly shooting

An Archer County Sheriff’s Office call for service in Archer County turned deadly following a vehicle pursuit which ended in Wichita County on Saturday, May 6. According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Archer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service at 11:30 p.m.
