Holliday outlasts Jim Ned in instant classic Area series

The three-game series between the Holliday Eagles and the Jim Ned Indians was as tight and heart-pounding as they come, with neither team winning by more than two runs over the three-game span. Overcoming bad weather and rain delays both teams played a knockdown, drag out series all the way up until the final inning of the last game.

County approves new phone system for sheriff's office

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the purchase of a new telephone system for the sheriff's office during its meeting on Monday, May 13. Sheriff Jack Curd told the court that the current telephone system was moved over to the office when the new law enforcement was built 13 years ago.

HISD purchase s new phone/ PA systems

The Holliday ISD school board approved a bid for a new voice over IP phone system and PA system for all school buildings during their meeting on Monday, May 13. Superintendent Cody Carroll said the need for both systems stem from Alyssa’s law which requires phones in each classroom, so everyone has the ability to call 911 if needed.
