Cristi Kellar was sworn in as the new Archer County Auditor by 97th District Court Judge Trish Coleman Byars on Wednesday, May 1. Kellar replaces outgoing county auditor Paul Wylie who retired from the position at the end of April.

The Holliday City Council swore in a new mayor and a new council place 2 member during its meeting on Monday, May 13. The change in mayor comes after former mayor Allen Moore decided not to run for re-election after holding the position for over 20 years.

The Windthorst ISD school board approved the staff compensation plan during its board meeting on Monday, May 6. Superintendent Jason Nolan had presented the plan for review during the previous school board meeting.

Both the Holliday and Windthorst track teams had athletes represent their programs at the state track and field meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3.
