Kellar named new County Auditor

Cristi Kellar was sworn in as the new Archer County Auditor by 97th District Court Judge Trish Coleman Byars on Wednesday, May 1. Kellar replaces outgoing county auditor Paul Wylie who retired from the position at the end of April.

Holliday swears in new mayor, councilor

The Holliday City Council swore in a new mayor and a new council place 2 member during its meeting on Monday, May 13. The change in mayor comes after former mayor Allen Moore decided not to run for re-election after holding the position for over 20 years.

New mayors elected for Holliday, Archer City

New mayors were elected in Archer City and Holliday and incumbent city council member was unseated during the May 4 general election. Voters in Archer City were deciding who their next mayor will be after Jake Truette announced he was not seeking another term.

County hears request for RV Park variances

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court heard a request for variances from the county’s subdivision regulations for a new RV park in the county during its meeting on Monday, April 22. Dillion Rodgers presented his plans to turn four acres just north of Holliday into a 32 spot RV park.
