The Archer City Lady Cats had a rough outing on Tuesday, Oct. 15, losing 3-0 to the tough Nocona Lady Indians (25-8, 25-14, and 25-12) to drop to 2-3 in district on the year.

Both the Holliday Eagles and Lady Eagles took home the Region 1 Cross Country crowns on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The Lady Eagles repeated as champions beating their score of last year, 44, by 13 points. The Eagles also snatched the gold medal, overcoming last year’s score by over 30 points.
It was a quick and painless 3-0 sweep for the Holliday Lady Eagles on Tuesday, Oct. 15, beating the Iowa Park Lady Hawks 2515, 25-15, and finally 25-17. This marks Holliday’s third program sweep in district play this season.

The Holliday Eagles travelled to the home of the Millsap Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 11, for the Red and White’s first district game on the gridiron. The Eagles were in tip-top shape on Friday, scoring on six of their seven first half drives to tame the Bulldogs 48-20 and kickoff district with a win.
The Lady Eagles seem to be near-unbeatable this year as they scored a dominant clean sweep over the Vernon Lady Lions on Tuesday, Oct. 8 before knocking off the Henrietta Lady Cats in 4-1 set victory on Friday, Oct. 11 to remain undefeated in district play.
Archer City endured a five-set slugfest versus the Petrolia Lady Pirates on Tuesday, Oct. 8 to eek out the 16-14 victory and notch their second district win of the season. This nail-biting win pushes the team’s district record to 2-2.
