We all face challenges that are often out of our control such as health issues, changes in our family, career changes, tragedy and all sorts of things that can cause grief. Archer City lowers minimum bid on old nursing home property

The Archer City Council approved lowering the price of the minimum bid of former Archer City Nursing Home located at 200 East Chestnut during its meeting on Thursday, March 27. The council had approved listing the former nursing home building for sale at a minimum price of $75,000 in January before approving lowering the price to $40,000 in its March meeting.

The Holliday Eagles notched a pair of wins on Tuesday, March 25 and Friday, March 28 after suffocating the City View Mustangs 4-0 and 14-4 respectively. The fight for the top spot in District 9-2A was always going to be tough. With three of the top teams from last year returning a majority of their roster, it is no surprise that each game has come down to who made the right plays at the right time. The game between the Archer City Lady Cats and the Windthorst Trojanettes on Saturday, March 29 was no different.
