Members of the Archer County 4-H program were on hand to discuss some of their accomplishments and experiences with the Archer County Commissioner’s Court on Tuesday, May 27. “We have had a few kids serving as Texas Youth Livestock and Agriculture ambassadors,” Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agent Kourtney Kulhanek said.

The Holliday City Council plans to donate the Old Jail to Church 2:42 following their council meeting on Monday, May 19. According to Holliday City Secretary Gerri Mc-Donald, the city bought the property from Cross Country Church in 2015.

The Holliday Eagles just seem to have a knack for incredible pitching performances in the playoffs. After a pair of shutout wins over Sweetwater in the Area round, the Eagles followed that up with a 2-1 series win over the #7 ranked Shallowater on Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16 in Eula.

It was another year where youth thrived for the Archer City and Windthorst softball teams. Last season, the Lady Cats had just two seniors and Trojanettes played one. This year, the Black and Gold fielded three seniors, while the Big Blue competed with none.
