St. Mary's Celebrates 134th Parish Picnic

Body St. Mary’s Parish in Windthorst celebrated their annual Parish Picnic from Saturday, June 6 to Sunday, June 7, including a Blooper ball Tournament held from May 28 to May 30. This marked the 134th year the parish held the event.

County Approves 2 8 7(g) Over time Policy

Body The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the payout of overtime pay for sheriff’s employees in reference to Section 287(g) of the immigration and Nationality Act during its meeting on Monday, June 8.

ACN's Baseball Diamond Dozen

Body Archer County baseball had another successful year on the diamond this season. Under new head coach Michael Wolf, the Archer City Wildcats made the 2A-D1 playoffs for the second- consecutive season.

HISD Amends Bus Purchase

Body The Holliday ISD School board elected to only purchase one new school bus in their school board meeting on Monday, June 8. In their May 11 school board meeting, the board approved the purchase of two Route Buses for the 2026-2027 school year, with one bus being traded-in.
