Early Games to Watch in the 2026 Season

Body Football season is quickly approaching Archer County. In just a few weeks, the coaches and players at Archer City, Windthorst, and Holliday high schools will begin Two-A-Days to prepare for the first game the year on Friday, August 28.
For the first time since 2019, the Windthorst Trojans and Holliday Eagles will battle it out on the gridiron as the pair open their season with the intracountry matchup. File photo

Athletes Earn Spring Sports All-State Honors

Body The 25-26 spring sports season was one of the most successful for Archer County. With state appearances, state championships, and deep playoff runs, it’s only fitting that numerous athletes from across the county be recognized for their work in their respective sports.
