Food Insecurity Rates Rises for Archer County

Body Food insecurity increased for the fourth consecutive year across the 12-county service area of the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, according to the latest data from Feeding America. The food insecurity rate rose from 18.7% to 19.
The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank announced that the area food insecurity rate rose for the fourth consecutive year. The Archer County rate now sits at 15.4% of residents. File photo

Community Rallies for Coleman/West Families

Body Archer County is coming together to support and comfort the Coleman and West/Halsell families following the unexpected deaths of Kenlan Coleman, 13, of Windthorst, and Wayne Paul West, 13, of Archer City, in an ATV wreck Saturday, Aug. 15.
