County Enact s Emergency Burn Ban

Archer County Judge Randy Jackson placed the county under a 7-day emergency burn ban on Thursday, July 30. The ban prohibits all outdoor burning in unincorporated areas of the county.

Archer County Sales Tax Revenue Roundup

Nearly every Archer County city saw an increase in sales tax revenue in May than they did in Jult of 2025. Five of the seven cities in the county saw an increase in their sales tax revenue in 2026 from 2025.
The City of Scotland saw a 26.34% increase in its sales tax rebate for the month of the July from the previous year. For the year, Scotland is up 12.44% in sales tax revenue. File photo
