Karen Louise Latimer Stubbs, age 61, of Archer City, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, in a Wichita Falls hospital.

A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 13, at First Baptist Church of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating.

Karen was born Feb. 25, 1961 in Wichita Falls, to the late Ronald Vance Latimer and Gwendolyn Joy Morrison Latimer. She graduated from Electra High School.

She married Leslie David Stubbs on June 20, 1981 in Electra.

Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed camping with her family and was an excellent cook. Karen was a member of First Baptist Church of Archer City, Survivors include her husband, Leslie Stubbs of Archer City; daughter, Dallas Stubbs Henderson and husband, Stephen of Wichita Falls; granddaughter, Moira Darling Stubbs Henderson of Wichita Falls; sisters-in-law, Lisa Smythe and husband, Elio of Waco and Lori Rutledge and husband, Kevin of Archer City; aunt, Janis Latimer of Iowa Park; nieces, Jennifer Luke and husband, Justin of Wichita Falls, Nicole Rutledge of Archer City, and Natalie Rickett and husband, Larson DeHart of Houston; nephews, Derek Smythe and wife, Kaylee of Waco, Jared Smythe of Austin and Ronald Latimer of Houston, and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Aletha Young; brother, Richard Vance Latimer; and nephew, Jeremy Gray.
