Terry Don Tarno, 60, of Electra,formerly of Archer City, went to his Heavenly home on Jan. 15, in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in the Archer City Cemetery with John Welter of Archer City officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Terry was born to Milton Edgar and Betty Francis Tarno in Wichita Falls and was the youngest of three children.

Terry and his siblings were raised in Archer City, and he attended Archer City ISD and graduated in 1980. He pursued an Associate Degree in Electronics from Midwestern State University. Terry worked for a time for Williams Bit Service and became a part owner in USA Rock Bit Company in Archer City, and then later was employed by Certainteed Vetrotex in Wichita Falls for twenty-seven years. When the Wichita Falls plant closed, he spent three years in Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf, and became a manager of operations in establishing a Certainteed division there. Terry retired to Electra in 2016.

Terry married Jana Dean Reynolds and had two daughters, Taylor and Jacie. Terry was a devoted and fun-loving father, and he enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, and cooking, particularly Texan and southern cuisine.

Terry was preceded in death by brother, Tommy, in 1990, and his mother, Betty, in 2004. He is survived by his two daughters, Taylor Reid and husband, Randell of Iowa Park, and Jacie Lawson and husband, Trey of Tyler; sister, Tami Crowley and husband, Bill of Archer City; five grandchildren, Hudson and Hinley Reid, and Olivia, Claire and Lane Lawson; and nieces and nephew, Christy Johnson and husband, Chad of Wichita Falls, Chad Crowley and wife, Kayla of Wichita Falls, and Carrie Pawloski and husband, Bernie of Electra; and nine great nephews and nieces.

Terry will always be remembered for his enormous, bright grin and laid-back and relaxed demeanor. He was always willing to help his children and family with vigor and enthusiasm, and his friends and family knew they could always count on his devotion, loyalty and dependability in facing challenges and savoring good times.
