What do you do when everything you know to do just isn’t enough? Sometimes, our best plans fail, and what we were hoping for just doesn’t happen. The truth is, we all deal with disappointments sooner or later. There’s a man in the Bible who found himself in this type of season and he was desperately asking God for help. His question and Gods response is found in 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 “Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Holliday ISD cleared, one arrested after bomb threat

The Holliday ISD campus was cleared after a bomb threat was made by around noon., Thursday, Aug. 10. Corby Wayne Sissom, 56, has been charged with Terroristic Threat and Retaliation. There is believed to be no threat to the school.

According to Archer County Sheriff Jack Curd, the Holliday Police Department received information about a possible bomb threat around noon and the decision was made shortly after to evacuate the school district.

The Denton Bomb Squad and ATF helped cleared the HISD campus after a bomb threat on Thursday, Aug. 10.

Archer City, County discuss future of ambulance service

Atwood's Eagles f lying in new direction

New Holliday Athletic Director and Head Football Coach began his first fall camp with the Eagles last week after stepping into the role for the retired Frank Johnson in February. Atwood takes over a program that has posted a 7012 record over the last six seasons with five appearances in the regional finals.
