Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2676 and Auxiliary and Gary Johnston American Legion Post 198 have announced their plans for Memorial Day services in Archer City, Scotland and Windthorst on Monday, May 26.

The Holliday City Council plans to donate the Old Jail to Church 2:42 following their council meeting on Monday, May 19. According to Holliday City Secretary Gerri Mc-Donald, the city bought the property from Cross Country Church in 2015.

It was another year where youth thrived for the Archer City and Windthorst softball teams. Last season, the Lady Cats had just two seniors and Trojanettes played one. This year, the Black and Gold fielded three seniors, while the Big Blue competed with none.
