Scotland town clean up May 3

The City of Scotland is sponsoring a Town Clean-Up on Saturday, May 3. This is a free service! All residents are encouraged to clean up their property and place items into the large dumpsters located at the Scotland Trash Collection Center on Avenue I behind the fire department.

TxDOT discusses upcoming Hwy. projects

Texas Department of Transportation Graham Area Engineer Zachary Husen provided an update of upcoming TxDOT road projects to the commissioner’s court on Monday, April 14. The first project which Husen went over were the bridge replacements on Hwy.

Commissioners proclaim April as Child Abuse Awarness Month

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court proclaimed April as Child Abuse Awareness Month during its meeting on Monday, April 14. According to the proclamation, during 2024 the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services confirmed 53,453 victims of child abuse including 15 in Archer County.

Windthorst ISD School Board Meeting

The Windthorst ISD School board approved three items in a quick school board meeting on Monday, April 14. The board approved a donation from the Parent- Teacher Group to purchase a new laminator for the high school.
