The Lakeside City Council voted to make the City Secretary position a part-time position as their search for a new secretary is underway during its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 21.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court accepted Sheriff Jack Curd’s annual report on his office’s activity for the previous year during its meeting on Monday, Oct. 27.

The Lakeside City Council approved budget amendments for the fiscal year of 2024-2025 during its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

An Archer County man was sentenced to 160 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple child sex crimes in August. The trial began on Tuesday, Aug 19, and after a week of trial the jury found McNair guilty on all six counts, five indecencies with a child with sexual contact and one aggravated sexual assault of a child.
