The Windthorst ISD School Board listened and ruled on a Level Three Parent Complaint relating to the district’s decision on disciplining a student for violating the school’s dress code during its board meeting on Monday, Feb. 13.

The Holliday ISD School Board approved a motion to call for a bond election in the May 6 election at the district’s scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

The city of Lakeside City held a small intimate dedication ceremony for its new East Side Park, Patsy’s Park, on Feb. 11.

The partial personal estate of iconic Texas author Larry McMurtry will be sold at auction on May 29, 2023 at Vogt Auction Galleries in San Antonio. The auction will include items from Mc-Murtry’s home in Archer City, Texas, and features his typewriters, writing desk, McMurtry’s personal copies of his landmark books, his firearms, boots, memorabilia from his Hollywood productions, as well as artwork and furnishings from his home.
