City of Holliday approves nepotism ordinance

By Nathan Lawson The Holliday City Council approved an anti-nepotism ordinance during its council meeting on Monday, July 21. Mayor Brad Litteken said a lot of the things in the ordinance come directly from state law.

WISD denies homeschool participation in extra curriculars

The Windthorst ISD School Board elected to not allow homeschooled students to participate in district extra-curricular activities for the upcoming school year during its meeting on Monday, July 14. Senate Bill 401 now requires school districts to pass policy stating that they will not allow non-enrolled students to participate in extra-curricular activities or they will be allowed to participate in school activities.
