The 24-25 volleyball season featured a lot of young talent itching to make names for themselves, as well as stalwart upperclassmen looking to lay it on the line for one final year. The Archer City Lady Cats’ playoff streak continued, the Holliday Lady Eagles soared through their playoff competition for a Regional Finals round appearance, and the Windthorst Trojanettes overcame so many odds to battle to the State Semifinals round for the 25th time in school history.

The Windthorst ISD school board approved the district’s Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating during its meeting on Monday, Dec. 9.

I was lined up at running back and the play that was called had a strong chance of coming to me. I was to run a bubble screen, and I often found myself open as a result of that route.
