The Sheriff’s Office received 73 Calls for Service during the past seven day period ending Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020. On the day of this report there were 26 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 20 men and six women.

Thanksgiving In what has most certainly been one of the most unusual years in memory, the nation will mark Thanksgiving once again on this Fourth Thursday in November. It is part of a long tradition that has spanned many generations, including historical parallels in Texas.

Happy Thanksgiving. The official holiday when we all give thanks. Most of us, in truth, find something to be thankful for several times every day. When we awaken after sound sleep, nothing in particular hurts, and we are ready to face the day we are thankful. At least we should be.
