A historic building on the Archer City square is getting a new lease on life housing pieces of history. The building at 103 E Main St., which has housed Larry McMurtry’s Booked Up, White’s Auto Store, and Terry Love’s fabrication shop among others, will now serve as the home for Chris and Terry Aulds’ classic car collection.

Delores “Dee” Jean Oliver passed away on Wednesday, Feb.14, 2024, in Wichita Falls. She was 87 years old. Delores was affectionately known by many as Granny Dee. Dee was born on July 3, 1936, in Graham. Her parents were Elmer and Anita Marley.

Hawley narrowly avoids upset by Wildcats

First-year Head coach Lukas Bontrager and his rough and rowdy Archer City Wildcats, comprised of five seniors and three juniors, travelled to Breckenridge High School to face the Hawley Bearcats in Bi-District play on Monday, Feb. 19, President’s Day. The Wildcats looked to prove they were more than their fourth-place district finish, aiming to upset the Bearcats who finished first in their district.
