Windthorst girls and boys host basketball tournament

The Windthorst Trojans and Trojanettes hosted a plethora of basketball teams from around the area for their basketball tournament from Friday, Dec. 27, to Saturday, Dec. 28. The Trojanettes went 2-2 on the weekend while the Trojans finished with a 3-1 record.

Lady Cats advance on walk-off steal Addi Canada displayed her dominance over the De Leon batters, tallying eight strikeouts and not allowing a single hit through three innings. Archer City’s bats were red-hot to start the game as outfielder Alyssa Schroeder and shortstop Brilee Canada both put the Lady Cats on the board with RBI-singles, with Schroeder later crossing plate herself.

Diversion Wind Energy Center completed

Invenergy, the leading privately held developer, owner, and operator of sustainable energy solutions, announced the completion of the Diversion Wind Energy Center. Located in Baylor County, the 200-megawatt Diversion Wind Energy Center will generate enough electricity to power over 74,000 American homes.

This is my favorite time of year, and I have always enjoyed the reality of a 'fresh start' in view of a new year. I like printing out new calendars, planning events, setting goals and praying about new possibilities in the days to come. As one year comes to an end and a new one begins, take full advantage of the season! There's a great passage that helps us do exactly that.
