Social media is where a person can express their true thoughts, opinion, and share life experience. This past week one person on one of our local gardening pages stated the obvious fact their tomatoes were flowering, looked OK, but not setting fruit. “What should I be doing?” The immediate popular response was, “My my Granny used to give them a vigorous shake, hit them with the broom, flyswatter, or stick, etc.” While this physical abuse was quickly noticed by young grandchildren, what was not noticed was when she was doing this and why.
