The Holliday Lady Eagles rattled off two more sweeps in district action on the hardwood on Tuesday, Oct. 22 against the Bowie Lady Rabbits and Friday, Oct. 25 against the City View Lady Mustangs, pushing the team’s overall district record to 11-0. The Lady Eagles have also only dropped one set throughout the 11-game span.

The Archer City Lady Cats marked their third sweep against district opponents on Saturday, Oct. 26, beating the visiting Petrolia Lady Pirates 25-15, 25-13, and 25-14 on Senior Night. This win locks the Lady Cats in for third place in district and a volleyball playoff berth.

The Windthorst Trojanettes finally dropped their first game in district on Saturday, Oct. 26, losing 3-1 against the Nocona Lady Indians.

The Lakeside City Council approved partnering with Lakeside City VFD and Archer County on installation of a concrete apron and drainage trough at the north overhead doors of the municipal building during its council meeting Tuesday, Oct. 15.
