The Windthorst Trojans travelled to Perrin, Texas to take on the Class 1A fifth ranked Perrin-Whitt Pirates on Thursday, Jan 4. Despite some back and forth early in the contest, the Pirates put up an insurmountable lead, defeating the Trojans 78-48.

5. Holliday vs. Iowa Park (Softball) Missed opportunities haunted the Lady Eagles in a 6-5, 10-inning loss to Iowa Park on Fri., April 21, as Holliday (21-2) entered the postseason as the No. 2 seed for the first time in three seasons.

The Archer City Lady Cats participated in the second annual Electra Grand Basketball Tournament on Thursday Dec. 28 and Friday Dec. 29, dominating the competition all the way to the championship round, where they lost a close matchup to the Electra Lady Tigers.

The Windthorst Trojanettes hosted a variety of basketball teams from around the area for their tournament on Thursday Dec. 28 and Friday Dec. 29. The Trojanettes played sound basketball, finishing with a 3-1 record and having two players on the all-tournament team.
