With chants of ‘feed the beast’ echoing throughout the Mineral Wells gymnasium from a raucous Windthorst crowd, the Trojanettes turned to the reigning Class 2A Player of the Year time and again to power past Hamilton and get back to the Region I-2A Tournament later this week in San Angelo.

The Trojanettes responded to the challenge as it bested Albany 25-15, 25-16, 25-15, in Graham on Thursday, Nov.

Cox lights up Wildcats for 7 TDs

Holliday senior quarterback Grant Cox threw for five touchdowns and added a pair of TD runs to lead the seventh-ranked Eagles (9-1, 5-0) to a 48-20 dismantling of Callisburg (5-5, 2-3) on Friday. Cox finished the night going 24-of-35 for 386 yards while Holliday raced out to a 27-0 lead just nine minutes into the contest that proved to be too much for the Wildcats to overcome.
