The Archer County Commissioner’s Court proclaimed April as National Child Abuse Awareness Month in Archer County during its meeting on Monday, March 13. According to the proclamation, in 2021 3.9 million reports were made to child protective services.

The Archer County News Super Team consists of eight boys and girls from around the county who excelled on the basketball court this past season. This week’s edition features the boys team while last week’s issue announced the girls squad.

Archer City ISD administration sent an email out to parents on Friday, March 31, to inform them of potential contraband concerns at the high school. High School Principal John Sherrill said students were recently exposed to contraband against the student code of conduct.
