The Archer County News will raise its annual subscription prices and individual paper prices at the rack starting on Jan. 1 the company announced this week.

As 2022 comes to an end, the Archer County News looks back at some of the top stories from throughout the year. This week, we take a look back at some of the top stories from January through June.

What a tremendous year for Archer County on the volleyball hardwood. From Windthorst winning its record- breaking 14th state championship to Holliday advancing to the regional finals for the third-straight season to Archer City keeping its playoff streak alive, 2022 was certainly a year to remember.

The Holliday Eagles opened up a 13 point lead over the Archer City Wildcats in the first half Tuesday night in the Wildcat gym. Keitenn Bristow led the way for the Eagles with 21 points.
