Holliday got a bit of a scare in its area round meeting with Scurry-Rosser on Thursday in Weatherford. A slow start by the offense and several big plays from the Wildcats had the Eagles staring down the barrel of a 10-0 deficit early in the second quarter.

Thanksgiving and the Thankful Believer

Body
There are many reasons why I love Thanksgiving. I love gathering with my family and getting to eat a huge turkey meal while watching the Dallas Cowboys. I love getting to play football with my family and have very fond memories of our family football games. Thanksgiving is a great time to express our thankfulness. We tell our families how thankful we are for them, we tell our friends, and hopefully we even tell our God. As a believer in Jesus Christ we have much to be thankful for and the root of all our thankfulness can be traced back to Jesus. The reason believers can express thankfulness on Thanksgiving or any day for that matter is because those who have trusted in Jesus as Lord have a salvation that is secure in him. This holiday season is a great opportunity for us to reflect on the great salvation that we have in Jesus.
