Huffman providing all-around depth for Lady Cats

Body

Archer City senior Kadence Huffman knows this year might be a little different for the Lady Cats following the departure of last year’s graduates but she feels confident this year’s squad can come together for a special season.

“We all watched the seniors from last year since we were in junior high,” she said. “We knew they were going to be great but now it’s our time since they’re gone. We’ve got to embrace it and make the best out of it. It’s our time to shine.”

Archer City senior Kadence Huffman looks to do it all for the Lady Cats this fall.

Holliday rolls on to second-straight tourney win

Body
Things could not have started much worse for the Lady Eagles at the Lu Allen Memorial Tournament on Friday in Graham. Holliday came out of the gate slowly, dropping two of its first three matches in pool play to Christ Academy (25-23, 25-21) and Canyon West Plains (12-25, 25-16, 25-22). Fortunately, with wins over Nocona (25-18, 25-18) and Snyder (25-10, 25-7), the Lady Eagles advanced to the gold bracket.
