Monday, Feb. 28 Holliday 6, Vernon 2 The Eagles (1-0) hung a four-spot in the top of the seventh to break a 2-2 tie in a 6-2 win over Vernon in their season opener.

After breezing through a 60-39 bi-district win over Early, Holliday broke through Wall for a 64-51 area victory on Saturday, Feb. 26, in Abilene.

The Trojans drew a talltask against Cisco in the opening round of the playoffs. Windthorst saw its season come to an end in a 58-33 bi-district loss to the Lobos on Tuesday, Feb.

Holliday saw its 2021- 22 campaign come to an end in the regional quarterfinals following a 54-40 loss to Brock in Bridgeport on Tuesday night. The Eagles end the year with a 24-10 record.

I confess I have never been an insatiable reader. By the number of books I possess, some might conclude differently. They would be wrong. I do love books and enjoy a great story, yet I rarely have time to do more than read what is "required" for an upcoming seminar, workshop, or project.
