Monday, Nov. 29, at 9 a.m. with the courthouse under tight security, the Bailiff in the 97th District Court called potential jurors into the courtroom one by one. They were standing in the foyer, on the stairs and in the hall outside the courtroom on the second floor of the Archer County Courthouse. Each of the sixty-five potential jurors was instructed to sit in an assigned seat.

After a banner year by Archer County schools on the volleyball courts, district honors were announced for Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst. The Lady Cats (32-12) went unbeaten through District 9-2A and advanced to the regional semifinals.
