After Notre Dame Catholic School in Wichita Falls announced plans to close its doors last month, the Windthorst ISD school board discussed a large increase of transfer requests from the school during its board meeting Monday, April 19.

Tuesday, April 6 Windthorst 3, Archer City 0 Windthorst tagged Archer City for three unearned runs that proved to be the difference in the Trojans’ 3-0 win over their county rivals. The Wildcats committed five errors with two in the third and three in the fourth inning that directly led to the Trojans’ offensive output.

The Holliday ISD School Board entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Angelo State University for dual credit courses. Students now have the opportunity to earn college credit from ASU with the partnership.

The Archer County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people suspected of running a chop shop operation off of Newsome road at the end of March. According to the probable cause affidavit, the sheriff’s office responded to a report of a possible stolen vehicle on Newsome Road on Wednesday, March 24.

The Lady Eagles ran away with the District 7-3A meet on Thursday, April 8, at City View. Holliday (251) topped second-place Breckenridge (98) by more than 150 points.
