Trojans place third

Body
Defense was the name of the game for the Trojans on Tuesday, Feb. 13, not allowing the visiting Olney Cubs to score more than 10 points in a quarter until the fourth. With Windthorst (4-5) going on a slight skid, losing three of their last four, and just one victory away from clinching the third seed in district, the clash with the Cubs (1-8) was the only obstacle left in the season and a perfect “get-right” game.

Wildcats down Pirates

Body
The Archer City Wildcats (2-5) battled the Petrolia Pirates (2-5) in district play on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Both teams were desperate to notch a district win and grab the fourth-place spot with just two games remaining in the season. The last time these two foes met, the Pirates ran away with a 50-32 victory, but the Wildcats were without a few of their key players. With both teams healthy and motivated, the stage was set for a grudge match.
